So, soon it's Valentine's Day, (OK in two weeks actually!), but it is worth beginning to think about a gift for your other half. What's a connection to Valentine's Day? A heart. And you have to admit that there is nothing better than sweet hearts made with your own hands. Maybe it will be a good idea then to test this simple recipe and surprise your man.
100g Madeira Cake- i’ve given recipe n previous post
100 g Oreo
200g milk chocolate
200 g white chocolate
Red food colouring
Lollipop sticks
Any decoration
Crumble the cake into small pieces.
The same with the oreo. The best way is to grind them in a blender. Then add them to bowl.
Break the milk chocolate into small pieces and melt it using a water bath, stirring continuously.
Then add melted chocolate to the bowl and combine all ingredients.
When the cake is ready, make chosen shapes by hand. I chose hearts, but you can make any shape you like.
Put them on some baking paper and wait until they set. It is best to put the lollypop sticks in them before they set properly. Leave for about 2 hours to set, and then you can begin decorating.
Melt the white chocolate (the same way we melted the milk chocolate) and add red colouring.
Carefully cover the hearts with the white chocolate and leave to set.
Decorate however you like.
How would you like to be eating a heart like that when watching a movie together on Valentine's Day?
